Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar storage UK Double Glazing uses on this website, what they do, and how to control them.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in the same way. We use them to remember how you arrived at the site so that any enquiry you make is correctly attributed.

Cookies we set

When you land on the site we set first-party marketing-attribution cookies, prefixed wml_. They capture your UTM campaign values (source, medium, campaign, term and content) and any advertising click identifiers passed in the web address (for example Google and Meta click IDs), plus the first page you arrived on. The same values are also mirrored in your browser's local storage so attribution survives you navigating around the site, leaving and returning later. These cookies expire after 90 days.

CookiePurposeExpiry
wml_utm_source, wml_utm_medium, wml_utm_campaign, wml_utm_term, wml_utm_contentRecord the marketing campaign that referred you.90 days
wml_ click-ID cookies (for example wml_gclid, wml_fbc, wml_fbp)Record the advertising click that referred you, for attribution.90 days
wml_landing_urlRecords the first page you arrived on.90 days

Tag manager and analytics

We include a Google Tag Manager container that is currently disabled. If and when we enable it, tags loaded through it (for example Google Analytics or advertising pixels) may set their own cookies — such as _ga and _ga_* for analytics or _fbp/_fbc for advertising measurement. We will update this policy to list those cookies before they are switched on.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings, and clear local storage the same way. Blocking our attribution cookies will not stop the enquiry form working — it only affects how accurately we can attribute your visit.

For how we handle the personal details you submit, see our privacy policy. Questions about cookies can be raised with us through the same contact route set out in that policy.
